Tzu Chi Malaysia COVID-19 Relief Works 2021
The invasion of the Delta variant has pushed Malaysia’s COVID-19 situation to a breaking point, with both infected cases and deaths on the rise at an exponential rate.
Despite the speeding up of vaccination rate, cases with severe symptoms are still growing. That has placed an unbearable burden on the healthcare system which is already on the brink of collapse. The overflowing of patients has also led to the running out of ventilators and vital signs monitoring medical devices in every major hospital.
Tzu Chi Malaysia has been seizing every minute and resources it has to donate medical equipment and daily necessities to those in need. As of end July 2021, Tzu Chi Malaysia has donated around 200 High-flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) essential to rescue the stage 5 COVID-19 patients. In addition to that, more than 54,000 provisions have been distributed to needy households.
To support Tzu Chi Malaysia in its effort to relieve the COVID-19 situation in Malaysia, Buddhist Tzu Chi Merit Organization (Singapore) Ltd. is launching a fundraising project to raise SGD 500,000 locally.
As two nations that are dependent on each other, now is the time for us to do our bit to help our nearest neighbour survive this pandemic. Your donation can make a difference no matter how small the amount. Let us combine our love together to bring a quick end to this pandemic.
