Tzu Chi Teenagers bridge the generational gap through compassionate giving
On the third day of the three-day, two-night Tzu Shao Camp at Kukup Laut, the Tzu Chi Teenagers (a.k.a. Tzu Shaos) were divided into groups and sent to various locations across the Pontian district to begin their “Journey of Love”. Some visited Tzu Chi care recipients to offer comfort, others went to nursing homes to accompany the elderly, and some visited a recycling station to learn about environmental protection. These lively and playful teenagers transformed into calm and thoughtful individuals as they carried out acts of kindness. They chatted warmly with the elderly and learned about waste sorting from senior volunteers at the recycling station. This brief half-day experience awakened a deeper sense of love and compassion in their young hearts.
